"Baking culinary" generally refers to the art and science of preparing baked goods in the culinary world. Baking itself is a method of cooking that uses prolonged dry heat, typically in an oven, to prepare foods such as bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, and pies. This area of culinary arts is both a science, due to the chemical reactions that occur among ingredients, and an art, as it involves creativity in flavors, textures, and presentation.

Bakers often use specific techniques, ingredients, and tools to achieve desired results, and they consider factors like temperature, timing, and ingredient ratios carefully, as these elements can greatly affect the outcome.
